I've been asked by a number of people where
I got Klint. I'm proud to say that he is the result of 3 generations of my
breeding program. I bred him, his mother, his grandmother and raised two of
his great grandparents from foals.
It started with a trip to California in
April 1982 when I stopped in at Sheila Varian's farm in Arroyo Grande. I had
seen a write up on her farm in the Arabian Horse World magazine and in that
article was a picture of a junior stallion that she was beginning to promote -
Huckleberry Bey++. Huck was 5 that year and already Reserve National Champion
Futurity Stallion, Top Ten English Pleasure and Top Ten Stallion. Sheila had
several of his babies for sale and I was smitten with a 6 week old colt out of
Khemo Rahbecca - a multichampion Western Pleasure daughter of Khemosabi++++//.
That colt, Kharbon Bey V, became the foundation of my breeding program and is
Klint's greatgrandsire.

Kharbon went on to produce Summer Wind Bey+//
(out of CMF Solar Wind) a multi National Champion Western Pleasure horse and
Kharifa Bey (out of Believe It Ornot) Klint's granddam and also the dam of
National Champion Western Futurity Horse Kantina Girl V.
That same year I bought an exquisite
yearling daughter of Khemosabi++++// named Believe It Ornot. Believe It was
my special treasure and Klint's great granddam. Believe It produced both
Kharifa Bey (by Kharbon Bey V) and Windkhist (by Wind Storm V) - dam of US and
Canadian Top Ten Gelding Fire Zim Up+/.

Kharbon and Believe It produced Kharifa Bey
- Klint's granddam - an exceptionally beautiful mare that, when bred to Wind
Storm V, produced Klint's dam, Windsong Bey. Kharifa was subsequently purchased
by Sheila Varian and was used in her breeding program to produce 7 foals.

Windsong Bey was Kharifa's first foal and just as pretty as a filly could be:

She is a very flashy black bay with a great
trot and a beautiful heart. I bred her to Desperado V for her first foal and
the result was Klint Black++.....
